Get to know Urogynecologist Dr. Denise Furlong, who serves patients in Illinois.

An exceptional urogynecologist, Dr. Furlong provides a wide range of gynecological services at Chicago Center for Women’s Health. 

Committed to offering patient-centered care for women from puberty through menopause, she provides each patient with the information and guidance they need about their health at every stage of life so they can feel confident in their care.

After earning her bachelor’s degree at the University of Illinois, Urbana- Champaign, Dr. Furlong completed her medical degree, internship, and residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, followed by a fellowship at Illinois Urogynecology, Ltd. 

Today, she is one of only a handful of surgeons to have achieved board certification in both obstetrics-gynecology & female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.

Licensed to practice medicine in Illinois, Dr. Furlong is affiliated with Advocate Christ Medical Center, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, Loyola Medicine MacNeal Hospital, and Northwest Community Hospital.

Urogynecology or urogynaecology is a surgical subspecialty of urology and gynecology. Urogynecologists help women who have pelvic floor conditions. They handle everything from evaluation and diagnosis to treatment and management.
