She was honored with the Best Resident Argus Award from 2006 to 2008 and named Best Resident at UAB Huntsville Campus from 2006 to 2008.
A Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, she is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties. She also plays an active role in the American Cancer Society and the Madison Medical County Society.
