Dr. Illowite has been practicing dermatology at his Saddle Brook office in New Jersey since 1992. He took over his father’s practice, continuing the family tradition of providing quality care to local patients and the surrounding areas.
Treating all dermatological diseases for patients of all ages, he specializes in rashes and dermatitis and prevention, acne, acne in women, acne scarring, hair loss in women, psoriasis, eczema, atopic eczema, and all other skin diseases. He provides personal service to each of his patients, ensuring they never feel rushed.
Being a dermatological surgeon, he does all his surgeries under local anesthesia, including biopsies, mole removal, acne surgery, radio-surgery, electro-surgery, reconstructive surgery, cryo-surgery, excisional surgery, and plastic surgery. He also specializes in pre-cancerous lesions, skin cancer diagnosis, many techniques for skin cancer removal, skin cancer prevention, cosmetic mole removal, glycolic peels, and facial veins.
After earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1990, Dr. Ilowite went on to complete his residency in dermatology at the Kennedy Memorial Hospitals-University Medical Center in New Jersey.
Nowadays, alongside his clinical role, he serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Dermatology of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he was presented by the residents with a “Teacher of the Year” award for two consecutive years.
A Fellow of the American Academy of Specialists in Dermatology, the doctor is board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology, which is a voluntary, non-profit, private, autonomous organization formed for the primary purpose of protecting the public interest by establishing and maintaining high standards of training, education, and qualifications of physicians rendering care in dermatology.
