Get to know Addiction Medicine Specialist Dr. Brian M. Bothe, who serves patients in Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Dr. Bothe is an addiction medicine specialist who has devoted the majority of his career to the conservative management of acute and chronic pain. 

He is currently serving patients at his private practice, Allayant Pain Management, in Hendersonville, North Carolina. There, he and his team offer a unique approach to managing pain and opioid dependence, as well as providing patients with the opportunity to achieve positive outcomes. 

As an expert in his field, Dr. Bothe is specially trained and licensed to prescribe Buprenorphine products such as Suboxone, Zubsolv, and Probuphine implants. He also offers other interventions such as monthly injections of Sublocade and Vivitrol.

In 1979, he earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California. He then went on to complete his residency at the University of California, Irvine. 

Before long, he became board-certified in addiction medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine,  a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties that issues certificates of special knowledge in the specialty of preventive medicine. He also earned board certification in physical medicine and rehabilitation through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the certifying body for the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation under the American Board of Medical Specialties. 

Throughout his career, the doctor has been honored with several awards and recognitions, including being regularly named for the Compassionate Doctor Recognition and being listed as a Top Physician in his field by the Patients’ Choice Awards, Vitals.com, and other prestigious patient-driven recognitions.

Addiction medicine is a medical subspecialty that deals with the diagnosis, prevention, evaluation, treatment, and recovery of persons with addiction, of those with substance-related and addictive disorders, and of people who show unhealthy use of substances including alcohol, nicotine, prescription medicine, and other illicit and licit drugs.
