  • Can chiropractic adjustments help kids with migraines?

Migraines can be from a lot of different factors. If the migraines are coming from joint, muscle, disc or nerve related issues, chiropractic could help her and that could be diagnosed from a chiropractor. If they are coming from stress, hormones, dehydration, caffeine, etc., then it won’t be able to help her. The hardest part is finding out what the cause is and what seems to trigger the migraines. Have her start with a journal. Track time of day migraine comes on, where she feels it, intensity 1-10, how long it lasts, how much water she has drank in 24 hours, how much caffeine she has drank in 24 hours, quality of sleep night before, what and how much she has eaten in 24 hours, etc. That will at least be a starting point to find the triggers. Hope this helps! READ MORE

  • Is it normal to have pain after first chiropractic adjustment?

Yes, that is normal. Especially after your first visit. Your body isn’t used to the structural corrections that the chiropractor is trying to make. Each visit should get easier and your body will be more used to the motion and shouldn’t be as sore. READ MORE

  • Are adjustments dangerous for kids?

Adjustments are definitely safe for kids. Adjustments performed on kids and teenagers are different than what is performed on adults. They are lighter and quicker because the joints won’t be as restricted on a 12 year old vs. a 42 year old. The cool thing about kids his age are that the problems haven’t been there for years/decades, usually problems have been there a day/week/month for kids which makes it much easier to fix. READ MORE
