At Dr. Khan’s cardiology clinic, patients are not only provided with high quality preventative cardiac care, but also with patient education, which is critical to the long term success of any patient. Time is spent with the patients to ensure that they and their families understand the cardiovascular problem at hand, diagnostic test, and different treatment options.
Situated in the heart of the Texas Medical Center, Dr. Khan’s office focuses primarily on consultative cardiology with a strong emphasis on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. In addition to offering outpatient consultations, Dr. Khan provides advanced cardiac inpatient care within the Texas Medical Center Hospitals, including Houston Methodist Hospital, and HCA Houston Medical Center Hospital.
Educated in Pakistan, Dr. Khan graduated from Dow Medical College in the class of 1990. Following this, he relocated to the United States, completing his residency in internal medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine from 1992 to 1995. Subsequently, he pursued a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Advocate Health Care (Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center) from 1995 to 1998 and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) from 1998 to 2000.
Helping patients maintain a heart-healthy life, Dr. Khan is board certified in interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Furthermore, he is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology by the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons, and in nuclear cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology.
Holding fellowship status, Dr. Khan is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI).
Since 2023, he has been serving as an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at Texas A&M School of Medicine.
