Dr. Jones sees everyone from first time dental patients to senior citizens. It is very common, so we try our best to settle fears and relax patients in a comfortable environment, so we welcome those who have honest phobias. We take extra time with these patients and our younger patients who are visiting for the first time as well” as stated by Dr. Jones.
Dr. Jones specializes in “painless dentistry”. He believes that making the dental experience as comfortable as possible is a key element in empowering each patient to take an active role in their oral health. Entrusted by his father, Dr. Paul Jones, with the wisdom of 42 years of experience, Dr. Jones is dedicated to maintaining a long tradition of dental excellence in the DC area.
Dr. Jones is a graduate of Archbishop Carroll School and a proud alumnus of Howard University College of Dentistry, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in both Biology and Chemistry, as well as his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Jones is an active member of the American Dental Association and the DC Dental Society. He is also one of the founding members of the DC Spear Study Club and the Greater Washington Academy of Dental Studies.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. As a general & cosmetic dentist, Dr. Jones has the skills needed to complete an array of procedures that are simple or complex in nature.
In 2013, Dr. Jones went on a mission trip to Honduras. There, he provided fundamental dental care and dental surgery, as well as educated the population on better dental hygiene. In addition to English, Dr. Jones is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
Dr. Jones has been married to his beautiful wife, Lígia, for over 10 years. Together, they have three beautiful children – Rafael, Gabriela, and Luíza. In his spare time, Dr. Jones is an avid practitioner of the Japanese Martial Art of Shotokan Karate. He has been practicing for over ten years and has passed his black belt exam, making him a first degree martial artist. His wife, Ligia, was the reigning East Coast Champion for five consecutive years, from 2002 – 2006. She was crowned the U.S. Champion in 2003, and won a gold medal representing the U.S. in the 2004 Shotokan Karate Panamerican Tournament.
