Well-versed in the field of radiology, Dr. Long is affiliated with Grapevine Radiology Associates. Her areas of clinical interests include interventional radiology (infusaport placement, chemo embolizations, vertebral augmentation, angioplasty/stent placement, arterial and venous thrombolysis, percutaneous nephrolithotomy, percutaneous hepatic cholangiography/stent placement, percutaneous biopsies and drainages, arthrography, steroid joint injections); phlebology (varicose vein ablation and sclerotherapy procedures); and women’s imaging (mammography, 3D tomosynthesis, needle localizations, US & stereotactic breast biopsies, hysterosalpingography, uterine fibroid embolization).
Grapevine Radiology Associates has been providing cutting edge radiology services to patients of North Texas and beyond for over 20 years. Their doctors are highly skilled professionals who have earned degrees from prestigious medical schools, have completed radiology residencies and have gone on to complete additional years of fellowship education to subspecialize in their areas of expertise. Academically, Dr. Long received her medical degree in 1988 from the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences Center (UAMS). She then continued her postdoctoral training in general surgery and completed a clinical transitional internship at UAMS, followed by a research fellowship in interventional radiology at UAMS with special emphasis on biliary tract disease.
Subsequently, she completed her residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and her fellowship in interventional radiology at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Licensed to practice medicine in Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, the doctor is board-certified in diagnostic radiology and vascular & interventional radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.
Remaining up to date in her field, Dr. Long is an active member of the American College of Radiology, the Society of Interventional Radiologists, the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Radiological Society, and the Tarrant County Medical Society.
Prior to joining Grapevine Radiology Associates, she was a Staff Radiologist for Consultants in Radiology, PA (CIRPA).
