He then completed his internship with Salt Hospital, in Salt City, Jordan in 2007, followed by his internal medicine residency in 2008 with the King Hussein Cancer Center in Amman, Jordan. After relocating to the United States, he completed an additional internal medicine residency with the East Tennessee State University College of Medicine. Furthering his training, he completed his cardiology fellowship with the East Tennessee State University, followed by an interventional cardiology fellowship with the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
Shortly after, Dr. Al Madani completed certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine, with subspecialty certifications in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology. To stay up to date in his field, he remains a professional member of the American College of Cardiology.
Interventional Cardiology represents advanced training in cardiovascular disease and focuses on the invasive, usually catheter-based, management of heart disease.
