Get to know Hematologist-Oncologist Dr. Sridevi Juvvadi, who serves patients in Texas.

Dr. Juvvadi is a board-certified hematologist-oncologist with over two decades of experience. In affiliation with Texas Oncology, she practices at Texas Oncology-Irving & Texas Oncology-Medical City Dallas Building C.

Texas Oncology was founded in 1986 by a forward thinking group of physicians who shared a vision to chart their own course. They believed there was a better way to provide cancer care. Together, they made community-based cancer treatment a reality.

The mission of Texas Oncology is to provide excellent, evidence-based care for each patient served, while advancing cancer care for tomorrow.

Educated in India, Dr. Juvvadi completed her pre-medical education at Saint Francis Junior College in Hyderabad, and received her medical degree from Osmania Medical College in 1992, where she also completed her internship. She then relocated to the United States, completing her residency in internal medicine at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey in 1998, where she was the recipient of the Best Resident Award.

Thereafter, in 2001, Dr. Juvvadi completed her fellowship in medical oncology at Robertwood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick. There, she was Chief Fellow and received the Motilinsky Award, which is given to the Best Fellow each year in the Hematology/Medical Oncology Division. 

With an unwavering commitment to her specialty, the doctor is board-certified in hematology and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Among her professional affiliations, Dr. Juvvadi is an active member of the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and Hematology, the American College of Physicians, the Dallas County Medical Society, and the American Medical Association.

Prior to joining Texas Oncology, she was in private practice in Dallas.

Hematology is the branch of medicine concerned with the study of the cause, prognosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases related to blood. Oncology is a branch of medicine that deals with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. A hematologist-oncologist is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of blood diseases and cancers such as iron-deficiency anemia, hemophilia, sickle-cell disease, leukemia, and lymphoma. 

An authority in her field, Dr. Juvvadi has been the recipient of Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2018, 2015), On-Time Doctor Award (2018, 2016), and Patients’ Choice Award (2018).

Happily married, she has one son. Her special interests are local community affairs and charitable work.
