Get to know Reproductive Endocrinologist & Infertility Specialist Dr. Daniel Skora, who serves patients throughout the State of Texas.
Dr. Skora is a dual-board-certified reproductive endocrinologist & infertility specialist with Fertility Specialists of Texas and serves as Medical Director of third party and LGBTQ+ services.
Bringing his wealth of knowledge and experience to his patients at the Dallas-Fort Worth fertility clinic, he is passionate about all aspects of infertility. However, he is especially passionate about in vitro fertilization (IVF), recurrent pregnancy loss, polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, donor egg, preimplantation genetic testing, and fertility preservation in couples undergoing therapy for cancer. He also has experience treating the other complex causes of male and female infertility.
He is dedicated to addressing the unique needs of the whole patient and calls upon his education. Specifically, his experience in psychology has taught him how to help each one overcome the emotional challenges of trying to conceive. This includes providing support at the Dallas-Fort Worth fertility clinic and making referrals to experienced mental health professionals in the community when necessary.
With a broad educational background, Dr. Skora graduated cum laude with his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a certificate in neuroscience from Princeton University. After working as a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health, he attended the University of Minnesota Medical School. There, he received his medical degree. He completed his residency at George Washington University Hospital and his fellowship at The Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont.
A member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology & reproductive endocrinology and infertility by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.
Reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) is a surgical subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology that trains physicians in reproductive medicine addressing hormonal functioning as it pertains to the reproduction, as well as the issue of infertility. While most REI specialists primarily focus on the treatment of infertility, reproductive endocrinologists are trained to also evaluate and treat hormonal dysfunctions in females and males outside after the reproductive years.
On a more personal note, Dr. Skora lives in Dallas, Texas, loves to travel, and spoils his two nephews whenever possible. He speaks both English and Spanish.
