Get to know General Surgeon Dr. Chad Ringley, who serves patients in Saginaw, Michigan.

A top general surgeon, Dr. Ringley specializes in bariatric surgery, advanced minimally invasive surgery, and robotic surgery. He is affiliated with Covenant Healthcare, working at their Covenant Surgery office in Saginaw, Michigan. 

The Covenant Surgery physicians treat every patient with respect and compassion. Pertaining to his educational background, Dr. Ringley earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his residency at Saginaw Cooperative Hospitals, and his fellowship in advanced minimally invasive & robotic surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

An Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the doctor is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.

With more than two decades of experience in his field, Dr. Ringley has medical privileges at Covenant Medical Center Harrison, Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital, and Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center.

General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal contents including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland. A general surgeon performs a wide range of abdominal surgeries for many forms of intestinal and abdominal wall neoplasms, gallbladder disease, gastric and pancreatic disease. They follow the patient through critical care and surgical recovery all the way to outpatient care.

As a testament of his dedication to his patients, Dr. Ringley was awarded the On-Time Doctor Award in 2014 and 2016.
