Completing her undergraduate education at Sarah Lawrence College, she earned her medical degree from the Tulane University Medical School, and graduated with her Master of Public Health degree from the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She then went on to complete her residency in internal medicine at Saint Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital.

An expert in her field, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

To boot, she is currently certified by the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons, and holds Physician Certification in Acupuncture in the state of New York.

She spent five years at one of New York City’s busiest ERs where she cared for over 20,000 patients in the acute care setting. Currently, she holds an appointment as an Affiliate Physician at New York-Presbyterian Hospital’s Columbia division.

Active in academia, she served as Clinical Preceptor both in Physical Diagnosis at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons for 22 years, and in the past in Acupuncture to the previously existing UCLA School of Medicine’s Medical Acupuncture for Physicians course.
