Born and raised in the Detroit Metropolitan area, Dr. Asbahi received his high school diploma from Walled Lake Western High School, and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Subsequently, he earned his medical degree from the Ross University School of Medicine, graduating with highest honors.
After the completion of medical school, he returned home to complete his residency training at the Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center Internal Medicine program. During his residency he was fortunate to train under many well known and renowned physicians.
In pursuit of clinical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
