Kevi Keenom is an acupuncturist practicing in Portland, OR. Dr. Keenom evaluates and treats patients based on the concepts of oriental medicine. How many acupuncture treatments are needed for acid reflux?
There's no way to give a definitive answer on this. Many acupuncturists would request that you also try an herbal formula to treat your pattern of dysfunction alongside acupuncture. Some may improve significantly enough to end treatment sooner than that, while others will need more. Much depends on the severity and duration of your condition and what other things you are doing for it. READ MORE
Is acupuncture effective for depression?
Generally, it can help, yes. Though a better approach involves the use of acupuncture with Chinese herbal medicine and a type of counseling that you find helpful. Some lifestyle advice for depression is often needed as well, and acupuncturists and naturopathic docs are often well suited to give that support. Like most hormonal-related things, consistency of efforts is crucial. Best of luck to you. READ MORE
