Dr. Valentine is a board-certified pediatrician who can be found on staff in the Department of Pediatrics - Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Children’s Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. From 2003 until 2006, she completed her residency in pediatrics as part of the Boston Combined Residency Program and from 2007 until 2010, she completed his fellowship in pediatric critical care at Boston Children’s Hospital. Subsequently, from 2009 until 2011, she completed the Harvard-wide Pediatric Health Services Research Fellowship Program.
Among the doctor’s many achievements, she is a Fellow of the Society of Pediatric Research, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Chest Physicians. She is also a member of the Society of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, the Pediatric Acute Lung Injury and Sepsis Investigators Network, the Pediatric Acute Lung Injury and Investigators Blood Network, the Northeastern Pediatric Critical Care Research Consortium.
Furthermore, Dr. Valentine has earned several awards and recognitions throughout her career, including the Clinical Research Award from the Massachusetts Medical Society Research Symposium in 2006, the Fred Lovejoy Research Award from the Boston Children’s Hospital in 2006, the Fellow Research Award from the Pediatric Acute Lung Injury Investigators Network in 2009, the Alumni Association Trainee Award for Excellence in Research from Boston Children’s Hospital in 2011, the Outstanding Clinical Educator Award from the Pediatric Med/Peds Resident Class of 2014, and the Society for Critical Care Medicine Presidential Citation in 2019, among many others.
The doctor is board-certified in both pediatrics and pediatric critical care medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). Founded in 1933, the ABP is an independent, nonprofit organization whose certification is recognized throughout the world as a credential signifying a high level of physician competence.
