Get to know Dentist Dr. Candace Lauderdale, who serves patients in the states of Georgia and Alabama.

Dr. Lauderdale is a dentist who is currently serving patients’ dental needs at Aspen Dental in Columbus, Georgia. Aspen Dental is one of the largest and fastest-growing networks of dental care providers in the United States with more than 380 practices in communities across 25 states, providing millions of Americans with access to quality, affordable dental care. Every Aspen Dental practice offers a full range of dental and denture services – including comprehensive exams, cleanings, extractions, fillings, periodontal treatment, whitening, oral surgery, crown and bridge work. With years of valuable dental experience, Dr. Lauderdale and the rest of the Aspen Dental team are proud to offer professional, compassionate care to patients in need.

Dr. Lauderdale began her dental career as an associate dentist at a traditional private practice in southern Georgia after graduating from the Medical College of Georgia’s School of Dentistry in 2009. A native of Georgia, she knew the Peach State was where she wanted to practice dentistry and raise her family. After spending a few years in private practice, Dr. Lauderdale was drawn to Aspen Dental because of the clear ownership path and the opportunity to treat a patient population that didn’t always have the easiest access to dentistry.

In 2012, Dr. Lauderdale, her husband, and young daughter relocated from southern Georgia to western Georgia so that she could begin her career with Aspen Dental as the lead dentist in a brand new office where she developed as a clinician and a leader. It was this experience that convinced her to invest in the Aspen Dental brand. In 2014, Dr. Lauderdale purchased her first Aspen Dental-branded practice in Columbus, Georgia. Today, she owns four offices – two in Georgia and two in Alabama.

When Aspen Dental began the Healthy Mouth Movement, Dr. Lauderdale was one of the first dentists with Aspen Dental to volunteer on the MouthMobile – a 42-foot long dentist office on wheels. Her dedication and commitment to this program were integral in its success. Since 2014, the Healthy Mouth Movement has donated over $13 million in free dentistry to more than 20,000 veterans – a population which lacks access to much needed dental care. “I love Aspen because of the teams I get to work with and the patients I get to take care of. Aspen Dental has opened the door to so many great opportunities – networking with over 1,000 dentist peers, VIP experiences at sporting and entertainment events, and volunteering to care for veterans in my local community” as stated by Dr. Lauderdale.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
