Pulmonologist Dr. Siddique is experienced in many areas of his field, including pulmonary disease, critical care, and sleep medicine. He serves as an Assistant Professor at the Baylor College of Medicine, and as the Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Baylor College of Medicine Medical Center in Houston, Texas.

In order to keep up to date with the latest trends in his field, he remains a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Thoracic Society, the American Society of Internal Medicine, the American Association of Sleep Medicine, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. 

After earning his Medical degree from King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan in 2002, Dr. Siddique went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at Independent Medical College in Pakistan.

Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in internal medicine at John Stroger Hospital of Cook County/Rush University in Chicago, Illinois, followed by his postdoctoral fellowship in sleep medicine and his fellowship in pulmonary medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine/ Bromenn Hospital in Springfield. Wanting to further his training, he completed his fellowship in critical care medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine in 2012.

Among the doctor’s most notable achievements, he is board-certified in both internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, and critical care medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. He is also board-certified in sleep medicine by the American Board of Sleep Medicine, a nonprofit organization that certifies physicians, PhDs, specialists, and technologists in the specialty of sleep medicine.

Pulmonology is a medical specialty that deals with diseases involving the respiratory tract.
