Get to know Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Dr. Tasneem Ali, who serves the Lancaster area at her private practice. Dr. Ali attended medical school at Liaquat Medical College Sind, then completed an internship at the Medical College of Georgia. She continued her studies with a residency in psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry, both at the New York Medical College. Dr. Ali holds medical licenses in both Pennsylvania and Delaware. With over twenty years of experience, Dr. Ali diagnoses and treats mental illness, such as depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, and schizophrenia. Her private practice currently consists of three offices located around the Lancaster, PA region. She is currently expanding her practice into the state of Delaware. Dr. Ali provides mental health medical care for a wide range of young patients. Her focus is placed upon issues like the onset of puberty, reproductive health, eating disorders, irregular periods, mood changes, drugs and pressures from home and school. She ensures that all of her patients are given the best possible treatments and services. A child and adolescent psychiatrist evaluates patients throughout childhood and adolescence, using many different procedures, in order to determine what treatments must be carried out in order to properly assess their symptoms. Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists are trained and certified to administer psychotherapy, medication, and many other means of treatment. Dr. Ali seeks to improve each patient’s quality of life. To stay current in her field, Dr. Ali maintains professional memberships in various prestigious medical societies. She ensures that all of her patients receive the best possible treatments for the various medical issues that they have.
