In regards to her educational background, she attended the University of North Texas Health Science Center, where she received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, and completed her residency in family medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Texarkana. She also holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.

An authority in her field, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, which is an organization that provides board certification to qualified osteopathic physicians who specialize in delivering comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages, genders, and addressing all parts of the body.
