Dr. Rosemarie Buen is a family and cosmetic dentist focused on restoring and maintaining her patients’ smiles and health. Since 1998, she and her team at Signature Smiles  Dental Care have been dedicated to providing unparalleled dental care for her patients in the Oak Park and Chicagoland area. Dr. Buen’s passion for providing the most up to-date dental technology and services is coupled with her genuine care and concern for people as she strives to treat her patients and team as family. She and all of her associates at Signature Smiles Dental maintain the highest levels of accreditation and constantly pursue ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest trends in dentistry. Dr. Buen and her team have taken hundreds of hours of continuing education throughout the years in the areas of laser dentistry, orthodontics, Invisalign, CAD/CAM one visit porcelain restorations, digital dentistry including CT scans and scanners, dental implantology, periodontics, Botox, facial fillers and facial aesthetics, sleep apnea, TMD, oral cancer, occlusion, and her primary passion, Esthetic Dentistry .

Dr. Buen earned her DMD, doctor of dental medicine degree, from the SIU school of dental medicine in 1996, where she was the class recipient of the Public Service in Dentistry Award. She chose the dental profession in order to combine her lifelong dream of following in her father’s footsteps providing healthcare for the public,  along with her artistic passion for creating and enhancing her patient’s smiles. She believes by restoring a person’s smile you are able to change that person’s life by giving them back confidence and and ultimately personal happiness. Although dentistry is traditionally a field that focuses on the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases, disorders and conditions of the oral cavity, Dr Buen feels that she is actually an important gatekeeper to her patients’ overall health as studies now link oral health to one’s overall systemic health. Heart disease, Diabetes, Alzheimer’s, premature childbirth, and Sleep Apnea in particular have a correlation to oral conditions such as periodontal disease and bruxism. Her practice regularly screens for high blood pressure, oral cancer, and sleep apnea. Of the many health benefits visiting your dentist can provide you, she is most proud her ability to restore her patients’ self esteem and improved mental wellbeing by restoring those individuals’ smiles and ability to function, in a caring, healing, facial and nurturing environment. Dr. Buen is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry , the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Chicago lmDental Society, the Illinois State  Dental Society, and the International Dental Implant Association.
