After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology at the University of Colorado, Boulder where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, Dr. Chappell went on to earn his medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He remained at Albert Einstein Medical Center, serving as Chief Medical Resident from 1996 until 1997. Thereafter, he completed his fellowship in endocrinology at the University of Colorado Health Science Center in Denver.
In addition to being a member of the Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the American College of Physicians, he holds fellowship status with the American College of Physicians, the American College of Endocrinology, and the Endocrine Society.
