Following the completion of his medical degree from the University of Cape Town in South Africa in 1979, Dr. Gottschalk went on to perform his internship at Livingstone Hospital. Wanting to further his training, he returned to the University of Cape Town to serve his residency before relocating to the United States.
With over four decades of experience in his field, the doctor is board-certified in anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). As the certifying body for anesthesiologists since 1938, the ABA is committed to partnering with physicians to advance lifelong learning and exceptional patient care.
