Dr. Kodali is a practicing gastroenterologist at Park Gastroenterology in Cary, North Carolina. From the common to the complex, he treats all digestive disorders, as well as manages chronic, long-term issues and acute problems that come on suddenly.

Offering a range of procedures, some of the conditions that he treats include colon cancer, stomach cancer, esophageal disorders, hemorrhoids, inflammatory bowel disease, and peptic (stomach ulcers). For over 25 years, from 1995 until 2020, Dr. Kodali served as a gastroenterologist at Fayetteville Gastroenterology Associates in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina and Florida, he is affiliated with Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and Fayetteville Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Back in 1984, Dr. Kodali graduated with his medical degree from Andhra Medical College in India, where he received a National Merit Scholarship. He then relocated to the United States, performing his residency in internal medicine at Long Island College Hospital and his fellowship in gastroenterology at William Beaumont Hospital. He completed additional fellowship training in liver diseases at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and advanced training in therapeutic endoscopy at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. 

A member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the doctor is board-certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

In recognition of significant professional achievement and superior competence within the field of internal medicine and gastroenterology, Dr. Kodali achieved fellowship status with the American College of Physicians (FACP), the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG), and the American Gastroenterological Association (AGAF). 

Gastroenterology is the branch of medicine focused on the digestive system and its disorders. A gastroenterologist is a physician who has extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders related to the esophagus, stomach, small intestines, colon, liver, pancreas, and biliary system.

Throughout his line of work, Dr. Kodali has conducted various scientific research projects and has presented scientific papers at various national meetings. He has also published scientific papers in various peer medical journals, and has conducted clinical research at Cumberland Research Associates for 20 years.  

Happily married, he and his wife, Usha R. Kodali, MD, have two sons, Aneesh and Anudeep.
