Get to know Nephrologist Dr. Rachandeep Singh, who serves patients in California.

Dr. Singh is a fellowship-trained specialist in nephrology who diagnoses, treats, and manages acute and chronic kidney problems and diseases. He also treats associated issues like high blood pressure, fluid retention, and electrolyte and mineral imbalances.

Currently, he practices at St. Jude Care Center in Manteca, California and is affiliated with St. Joseph’s Medical Center – Stockton.

Educated in India, Dr. Singh graduated with his medical degree from Dayanand Medical College in 2001. He then relocated to the United States, performing his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in nephrology at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2007 and 2009, respectively. 

With over two decades of experience, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Nephrology is a specialty of medicine that concerns itself with the kidneys: the study of normal kidney function and kidney disease, the preservation of kidney health, and the treatment of kidney disease, from diet and medication to renal replacement therapy. A nephrologist is a medical doctor who specializes in kidney care and treating diseases of the kidneys. 

On a more personal note, Dr. Singh is fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.
