Academically, Dr. de Sanctis earned her medical degree from the National University of Rosario in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina, and a HIV/AIDS master’s degree from the University of Barcelona in Spain. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the Hospital Provincial de Rosario in Argentina and the Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research Center. She also completed a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan where she served as associate hospital epidemiologist and staff member of the Infectious Disease Division.
