Get to know Radiologist Dr. Douglas N. Hornsby, who serves patients in Miami, Florida.

Being a well-versed radiologist, Dr. Hornsby has nearly four decades of experience in his field. He holds the position of Medical Director at Pinnacle Imaging Center in Miami, Florida.

Pinnacle Imaging Center is the largest self-standing Multi-Modality Diagnostic Imaging Center proudly serving the South Florida Community since 2004. It provides diagnostic imaging services, utilizing cutting-edge technology in an environment that is comfortable and friendly.

Following the completion of his medical degree from Spartan Health Sciences University in 1983, Dr. Hornsby went on to perform his residency in diagnostic radiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami.

Before long, he attained board certification in diagnostic radiology through the American Board of Radiology, which is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.

Radiology is a medical specialty that uses medical imaging to diagnose and treat diseases within the human body. Radiologists are medical doctors who specialize in diagnosing and treating injuries and diseases using medical imaging procedures, such as exams and tests, X-rays, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear medicine, mammography, positron emission tomography, and ultrasound.
