Get to know Neurosurgeon Dr. Muhammed Memon, who serves the Port Charlotte, Florida area at her private practice and several area hospitals. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Memon is affiliated with several areas in the Port Charlotte, Florida area, including Bayfront Health Punta Gorda and Bayfront Health Port Charlotte. Dr. Memon has over twenty years of experience in the field and practices neurosurgery for a wide range of patients. Dr. Memon earned his medical degree from the Liaquat Medical College Sind. He then continued his medical studies with an internship at the New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens and residencies in neurosurgery at the Interfaith Medical Center and the Community General Hospital Great Syracuse. Dr. Memon has been board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. The primary purposes of The American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS) are to conduct examinations of candidates who voluntarily seek certification and to issue certificates to those who meet the requirements of the board and satisfactorily complete its examinations. Certification by the ABNS is based on review and evaluation of an applicant’s education, training and practice qualifications as well as successful completion of written and oral examinations. Dr. Memon has become a fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and maintains a professional membership in the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, both of which allow him to stay current in his field. Throughout his esteemed career, Dr. Memon has earned many awards and accolades for his expert knowledge and medical practice. As a Neurological Surgeon, Dr. Memon prevents, diagnoses, evaluates, and treats disorders of the autonomic, peripheral, and central nervous systems.
