She completed her residency at TUFTS University in Boston, MA, where she received the prestigious Bates Award for her groundbreaking research and won the Esthetic Dentistry Challenge in her final year.
Beyond the clinical setting, Dr. Island actively participates in various community outreach initiatives, including the International Esperanza Project, where she provides essential dental care to underprivileged children in Guatemala.
