What is the maximum time to wear dentures?
Something very important to know right off the bat is that the more time spent wearing your denture, the more bone loss you will have. With that being said, on a day-to-day basis you definitely want to remove your dentures before you go to bed at night. This will give your mouth that many hours of rest before you put them on the following day. Over a period of time, depending on the way the dentures are used and how much wear and tear the denture takes on, the teeth on the denture will begin to grind down and flatten. At this point, it would be in your best interest to either change the teeth on the denture or have a brand new denture made. READ MORE
How long do braces take to correct an overbite?
There is no definitive answer to this question. The reason is, every case and every overbite can vary in terms of the length of time of treatment with braces. Whereas one individual can wear braces for two years to correct his/her overbite, another case may take up to 3 years to correct their overbite. The length of treatment time is directly correlated to the amount of overbite you currently have. READ MORE

Which is better, root canal or implant?
It depends on your situation and the prognosis of your tooth. If you have adequate bone level, the truth is nonverbal and has the majority of his tooth structure remaining, then my personal opinion would be to save the tooth and a root canal followed by full coverage porcelain crown. On the other hand, if there is bone loss present (40% or more bone loss), or if there is minimal coronal tooth structure remaining and/or multiple defected/missing walls present, then my professional opinion would be to remove the tooth and place an implant. I hope it’s better determined what the proper approach would be in your specific situation. David Shouhed, DDS READ MORE
