Dr. Cox has an outstanding reputation in the Atlanta, Georgia area, serving the community at Perimeter Dermatology, a full-service dermatology practice emphasizing quality care and patient satisfaction.
In private practice since 1987, he offers general dermatology care of the skin and dermatological surgery. In the cosmetic dermatology arena, he offers facial fillers, Botox, vein therapy, chemical peels, laser therapies, as well as a full range of aesthetic services.
In his current capacity, Dr. Cox is affiliated with several hospitals in his local area, including Northside Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Grady Memorial Hospital, Scottish Rite Hospital, and South Fulton Hospital. He also remains active teaching medical students and residents in training at Grady Hospital as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the Emory University School of Medicine.
Consistently recognized as one of the “Top Docs” in Atlanta by Atlanta Magazine, he is board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). The ABD is a voluntary, non-profit, private, autonomous organization formed for the primary purpose of protecting the public interest by establishing and maintaining high standards of training, education, and qualifications of physicians rendering care in dermatology.
Before embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Cox obtained his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1982. He then went on to perform his residency in dermatology at Emory University Hospital where he served as Chief Resident.
In order to maximize his professional development, he remains a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (Fellow), the Atlanta Medical Association, the American Medical Association, the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
