Schwartzberg, a board-certified and fellowship-trained interventional radiologist who serves as the Director of Interventional Radiology. Operating from the offices in Leesburg and the Sharon L. Morse Medical Center in The Villages, Dr. Schwartzberg specializes in delivering minimally invasive, targeted treatments that utilize advanced imaging techniques for precision and effectiveness.
Lake Medical Imaging is recognized as a full-service diagnostic imaging practice. It features a large team of board-certified diagnostic and interventional radiologists committed to patient care in six state-of-the-art imaging centers throughout Central Florida. The practice’s physicians are also on staff at UF Health Leesburg and UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital, ensuring comprehensive care for the community.
Under Dr. Schwartzberg’s leadership, Lake Medical Imaging has earned accolades for its pioneering efforts in patient care and safety. Notably, in 2014, the facility became the first outpatient imaging center in the nation to receive the prestigious Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence (DICOE) designation from the American College of Radiology. The practice is fully accredited in multiple imaging modalities, including MRI, CT, PET/CT, Women’s Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and Interventional Radiology. This high level of accreditation reflects the commitment to quality and excellence that Dr. Schwartzberg and his team consistently strive to maintain.
Dr. Schwartzberg’s impressive educational background includes a Medical Degree from the University of North Carolina—Chapel Hill School of Medicine, where he graduated in 1987. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at UAB Hospital, serving as Chief Resident, and further honed his expertise with a fellowship in angiographic and interventional radiology, graduating in 1992.
A Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology, Dr. Schwartzberg holds board certification in diagnostic radiology with an additional qualification in vascular and interventional radiology. His passion for minimally invasive procedures aligns with Lake Medical Imaging’s mission to provide exceptional healthcare services to the Central Florida community.
