Write ReviewPatient Experience with Dr. Neeley
- Amanda
I recently decided it was time to see a psychiatrist as I had my anxiety previously prescribed by my general practitioner. I went to see Dr. Neeley as she was the only person in my network that could schedule me that month. I spoke to Ellen, the receptionist and she took all of my insurance information and told me she would check on it and then call back for an appointment. She called me back and said my first appointment would cost me $26 and $10 for all of the following appointments. I said great and set my appointment for next week. Dr Neeley was horrible. She was judgmental and rude. She based everything off of questions she was reading off of her computer and didn't let me explain anything. I left there feeling worse about myself than I did when I went in. In my opinion, that is not how someone in her profession should make her patients feel. Anyway, I was going to keep my appointments with her strictly out of convenience until I received a voicemail from her receptionist telling me that she was wrong about my insurance and the first appointment was actually going to cost me $125.10 and every appointment after that would cost me $53.00. If I would have known it would cost that much, I never would have agreed in the first place. This was the worst experience I have ever had with any medical professional and I STRONGLY advise anyone who reads this to NOT see Dr. Heather Neeley. I will be disputing the charges and I hope this note, which I will be posting on many sites, helps her to rethink the way she practices.
