He specializes in custom no-stitch cataract surgery and was one of the first physicians in the country to use this new lens technology.

At his practice, Ophthalmology Associates, he provides high quality, high definition LASIK and cataract surgery to residents in Birmingham, Alabama and surrounding areas. Each surgery is catered to each individual patient. A 2004 graduate of the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, Dr. Smith completed his ophthalmology surgical training at the largest medical center in the world, the Texas Medical Center in Houston.
