The doctor performs both general and advanced laparoscopic surgeries, including the use of robotic-assisted surgeries with his certification in the use of DaVinci robotic technology. He specializes in breast disease but also performs surgeries for hernias, gallbladders and gastrointestinal conditions as well as hemorrhoids.
Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Keller’s passion for surgery was sparked during his first surgical rotation in medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He then completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine.
An authority in his field, he is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.
In his professional experience, Dr. Keller is one of six physicians who had the vision of bringing a new hospital to the Northwest Houston corridor, opening North Cypress Medical Center (NCMC) in January 2007 to meet the needs of the blossoming Cypress area. He was not only one of NCMC’s General Partners but also the hospital’s Chief of Surgery and the Founder of the High-Risk Breast Center. HCA purchased North Cypress Medical Center in 2018 and renamed the hospital HCA Healthcare Houston-North Cypress. Today, he sits on the hospital’s Board of Directors. He also performs surgery at Methodist Hospital Willowbrook and Kindred Hospital Houston Northwest.
