Get to know Allergist and Immunologist Dr. David Menchell, who serves patients in Flushing, New York.

Dr. Menchell, a board-certified allergist and immunologist, specializes in allergy, asthma, and immune system problem diagnoses and treatments. As the owner and operator of Menchell Allergy & Asthma Care, he goes above and beyond to deliver the best treatment possible to every patient. In fact, he meets everyone face to face to provide an accurate diagnosis and determine the appropriate course of action.

Born in Whitestone, New York, Dr. Menchell began his medical education at New York University. There, he completed both his undergraduate and medical degrees. He later completed an internship and residency in internal medicine, as well as a fellowship in allergy and immunology at the Booth Memorial Medical Center in Flushing, now in New York-Presbyterian Queens (where he maintains a professional affiliation). 

Following his education, the doctor earned board certification in allergy and immunology through the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, whose mission is to improve the quality of medical care by the development and utilization of professional and educational standards for the initial certification and maintenance of certification of physician specialists in allergy and immunology. 

Furthermore, he attained board certification in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology, Dr. Menchell is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Physicians, the New York Allergy Society, and the Medical Society of the State of New York.

Allergy and immunology involve the management of disorders related to the immune system. These conditions range from the very common to the very rare, spanning all ages and encompassing various organ systems. An allergist/immunologist is a physician specially trained to diagnose, treat, and manage allergies, asthma, and immunologic disorders, including primary immunodeficiency disorders.

Recognized as an expert in his field, Dr. Menchell received the New York Metro Area Castle Connolly Top Doctors Award consecutively for the last 10 years.
