Pertaining to her educational background, Dr. Couturier-Fagan received her Doctorate degree in Developmental Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University in 1996. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from the University of New Hampshire (1978), a Master of Science degree in Education from Bank Street College of Education in New York City (1984), and a Master of Arts degree from The City College of the City University of New York (1990).
At Bank Street College of Education, she completed training as an elementary education teacher and is licensed K-5 in New York State. In 2012, she completed post-doctoral training in School Neuropsychology and was admitted as a Diplomate to the American Board of School Neuropsychology (ABSNP).
Licensed as a neuropsychologist in New Jersey and New York, Dr. Couturier-Fagan has worked in a variety of hospital settings, including the Child Abuse Program at Columbia Presbyterian (Babies Childrens Hospital); with adolescent mothers and their infants and toddlers at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark; with a pediatric HIV population; with premature infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit; and as Director of Early Intervention at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center. Most recently, she completed psychoeducational evaluations at the Kireker Center for Child Development at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, New Jersey.
Among the doctor’s professional affiliations, she is a member of the American Academy of Neuropsychology and the American Psychological Association. Actively involved in current research, she is looking at learning and ADHD medication.

Debra A.
