Dr. Tuda is a highly trained infectious disease specialist whose fields of interest are general infectious disease, HIV, and hepatitis C. He is in practice with Midway Specialty Care Center in Miami Beach, Florida.
The mission of Midway Specialty Care Center, as a not-for-profit clinic, is to provide patients a comprehensive infectious disease care center, with primary care and access to behavioral health services, gynecological care, and nutritional support. The dedicated team of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, medical assistants, and pharmacists work to provide total patient care with dignity to those living with an infectious disease.
In addition to his work at Midway Specialty Care Center, Dr. Tuda serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine within the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, the Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center, and as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine within the Department of Medicine at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Before embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Tuda graduated with his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina in 1986. He then completed an internship and residency at the University Hospital “José de San Martín”.
After coming to the United States, he was a Fellow / Research Associate in Microbiology and Virology within the Department of Pathology at the West Virginia University Hospital. He then completed another research project titled Special Immunology / AIDS Comprehensive AIDS Program at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital. Thereafter, he enrolled in another internship and residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in infectious disease at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
A Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), Dr. Tuda is board-certified in infectious disease and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Infectious disease is a medical specialty dealing with prevention, the diagnosis, and treatment of infections. An infectious disease specialist’s practice also consists of managing nosocomial (hospital-acquired) infections.
