He is also a member of the Washington Metro Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Society, the National Medical Association, the Board of Governors for the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. 

A native of Washington, Dr. Bond Jr. is a graduate of the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery training at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana, followed by his otolaryngology-head and neck surgery training at Georgetown University and the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Bond Jr. has served in the United States Navy and Naval Reserves for 28 years. He retired with the rank of Captain.

Otolaryngology is the oldest medical specialty in the United States. Otolaryngologists, also known as Ear, Nose & Throat doctors, specialize in disorders of the head and neck ranging from hearing loss to cancer. 

In his spare time, Dr. Bond Jr. enjoys skiing, cycling, as well as playing tennis and golf. He has traveled extensively throughout the United States, taking particular interest in National State Parks. One of his greatest achievements, both personally and professionally, has been his medical missionary work in West Africa.
