Dr. Woods’ extensive experience and education began when he earned his undergraduate degree at Arizona State (ASU) with dual degrees in Biology and Chemistry and where he was named a member of the elite 4.0 club as well as the Beta Beta Beta Biological Sciences Honor Society. He went on to earn his PhD at the University of California, Berkeley, the Public Research University founded in 1868 and the flagship institution of the ten research universities affiliated with the University of California system. Dr. Wood earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry; University of the Pacific, a nationally renowned institution committed to a world-class dental education, located in downtown San Francisco, CA.
For some time Dr. Wood continues to live and raise a family in the Bay area, but when his children became school-aged and having grown up in Tempe and the surrounding region, it made sense for him to put down more permanent roots and open a dental practice in his hometown.
Dr. Wood and his team are highly sought after for general and cosmetic dentistry for both preventative and aesthetic needs. He is dedicated to his community and was elected to the Tempe Union High School Board, and later President of the Tempe Union High School Board. He also chaired the Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of Tempe. He has held the position of the Vice-President for the Tempe Community Council and has been a member of Tempe All-City Athletic Association since 1985, having served as the president, early on.
