Enhancing Palliative Care Services and Education Throughout the Region

A seasoned hospice and palliative care specialist, Dr. Marianne Holler is the Special Medical Advisor to the CEO and Chief Medical Officer for Hospice, Palliative Medicine at VNA Health Group and the Parker Advanced Care Institute. She has made significant strides in the field of palliative care, notably through the establishment of the Palliative Medicine Consult Service at Community Medical Center in Toms River. 

With a robust educational background, she earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2003, followed by her internship and residency at Kennedy Lourdes Health System in 2003 and 2004, respectively. Her commitment to advancing palliative medicine is evident as she has successfully created the first Palliative Medicine Fellowship in New Jersey in partnership with Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Holler is not only a leader in medical education but also a sought-after speaker, having lectured extensively across New Jersey and the United States. Her presentations at national conferences and medical schools cover vital topics related to End of Life Care and the management of patients with serious illnesses. Her expertise has also reached international audiences, with lectures and hands-on care provided in Uganda, Honduras, and Guatemala, where she has actively participated in improving healthcare access and education.
