Get to know Cardiologist, Dr. Karim M. Hussain, who serves patients in Fremont, California.

Dr. Hussain is a board-certified cardiologist with Mission Primary Care Clinic, his private practice, in Fremont, California. He also practices at Bay Area Community Health – Mowry III Clinic in Fremont, California. Dr. Hussain is highly regarded for his expertise in all facets of internal medicine and cardiovascular disease medicine. 

Dr. Hussain is a 1965-graduate of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Medical College in India, where he also received his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya. After relocating to the United States, he completed his internship at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, residency in internal medicine at Lifespan: Rhode Island Hospitals and Health Services, and fellowship in cardiology  at Adventist Health White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.

Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The American Board of Internal Medicine is a 501 nonprofit, self-appointed physician-evaluation organization that certifies physicians practicing internal medicine and its subspecialties.

Cardiology is a branch of medicine that deals with the disorders of the heart as well as some parts of the circulatory system. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease and electrophysiology.
