Get to know Family Physician Dr. Gustavo Marin, who serves patients in Plano, Texas.

A dedicated family physician with a focus on diabetes, Dr. Marin provides complete medical care for households and individuals. He sees patients at East Plano Family Clinic in Texas. 

Serving the East Plano area since 2005, East Plano Family Clinic is a medical family practice offering a wide range of services such as: special care of diabetes type II in children and adults; repairing and suturing wounds (with local anesthesia); skin biopsies and excisions; cryotherapy (liquid nitrogen) for destruction of warts, skin tags, premalignant sun-damaged skin lesions; electrosurgery for destruction of skin lesions and seborrheic keratosis; splinter removal; treatment of ingrown toenails; removal of corneal foreign body; cortisone injections for joints and soft tissue problems; splinting; acute care for illnesses and accidents; care of chronic illnesses, and more. 

Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Marin earned his medical degree from the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Caldas in Colombia in 1960. Upon graduation, he relocated to Florida. There, he performed his residency in general surgery at Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center in 1973.

With over six decades of experience, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

An authority in his field, Dr. Marin has published over twenty articles. He is currently licensed to practice medicine in Texas and Georgia.
