Upon graduation, he relocated to Florida. There, he performed his residency in general surgery at Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center in 1973.

With over six decades of experience, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

An authority in his field, Dr. Marin has published over twenty articles. He is currently licensed to practice medicine in Texas and Georgia.
