Get to know Family Physician Dr. Rene Casanova, who serves patients in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

Being a board-certified family physician, Dr. Casanova is very knowledgeable in the management of diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. He is affiliated with Helix Urgent Care – Deerfield Beach in Florida. 

There, he provides individualized treatment to all of his patients, and takes time to address all of their questions and concerns. His areas of expertise include family medicine, occupational medicine, and urgent care medicine. 

A 1991 graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine, Dr. Casanova went on to perform his internship at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. This was followed by residencies at Tufts Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital.

With over three decades of experience, the doctor is licensed to practice medicine in Florida and Massachusetts. 

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.
