Dr. Kasi is a cardiologist who specializes in coronary and peripheral vascular interventions. He is currently the Director of Cardiovascular Research and the Director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Training Program at Orlando Health. Dr. Kasi received his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore (India) in 1993. He then went on to receive his PhD from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina in 1998. He subsequently completed his cardiology training at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and his interventional cardiology training at the William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Dr. Kasi’s research interests include regenerative medicine, stem cell therapy, and heart failure. He is currently a part of the NIH-funded Cardiovascular Cell Therapy Research Network (CCTRN). He is also actively involved in cardiac and peripheral vascular clinical trials.
Dr. Kasi is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology, and vascular medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
