Dr. Ozaktay, Senior Pain Care Specialist, joined Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants in July 2008. He completed his medical school education at the University of Istanbul, Cerrahpasa Medical School, in 1988. Dr. Ozaktay received his degree in anesthesiology at Wayne State University, Detroit Medical School in Michigan, and completed a fellowship in pain management at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He specializes in implantable pain pumps and spinal stimulation.

Dr. Ozaktay was named Pain Awareness Ambassador this year. He has been honored by the Tuck School of Business Administration for the “Medical Care and The Corporation Course” and for being a lecturer at the Dartmouth Medical School Pain Management Education Day for his course on “Low Back Pain, Translational Research, Animals to Humans or vice versa.”

Dr. Ozaktay is a member of numerous organizations including the World Institute of Pain. He had over 65 publications on pain medicine, recognized as an "Internationally Recognized Outstanding Researcher" by the US government. Dr. Ozaktay is a noted lecturer nationally and internationally and has held various teaching appointments throughout his career.
