Dr. Frazee is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has been practicing general ophthalmology in the Dallas area for more than three decades. He founded the North Texas Eye Center in Plano, Texas in 1981, offering routine eye health, medical eye care, and surgical services. He instituted an additional clinic in Lewisville in 2003 and continues to serve his patients at both locations.

Enjoying all aspects of ophthalmology, Dr. Frazee has a special interest in the retina, external diseases, dry eye syndrome, and glaucoma. He also performs routine eye exams and vision correction with contact lenses. “Patient interaction is my favorite part of practicing medicine. I enjoy getting to know my patients and helping them with everything involved in caring for their eyes, from vision-correction options to the nutritional aspects of eye health. Many eye conditions are directly affected by nutrition. I want patients to understand everything they can do to enjoy optimal eye health throughout their life.” as stated by the doctor.
His acclaimed career in medicine began in 1977 after he earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky. He then went on to complete his residency in ophthalmology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Physiology and Biophysics & a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
Voted by his peers as one of Collin County’s Best Doctors in 2011, 2012, and 2013, Dr. Frazee is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology, whose mission is to serve the public by improving the quality of ophthalmic practice through a process of certification and Maintenance of Certification that fosters excellence and encourages continual learning.
