Get to know Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Gregory Zawada, who serves patients in Sherwood, Arkansas.

A skilled infectious disease specialist, Dr. Zawada serves patients in the Sherwood, Little Rock, and North Little Rock areas at his private practice, Arkansas Pulmonary, Sleep and Infectious Disease. He chose to become a doctor at a young age, as his mother suffered with ovarian cancer.  He has devoted his life to quality improvement within infection control and patient care. 

The doctor treats everything from general infectious diseases to immuno-compromised hosts. He is passionate about helping others in discovering and treating ailments that prohibit regular life. He listens and takes time with each individual patient, he truly cares.

With a broad educational background, Dr. Zawada completed his medical education, residency in internal medicine and fellowship in infectious disease at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine.

Among his other roles, he can be found on staff at Baptist Health Extended Care Hospital, Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock, Baptist Health Medical Center-North Little Rock, and Baptist Health Rehabilitation Institute-Little Rock.

Infectious disease is a medical specialty dealing with the prevention, the diagnosis, and the treatment of all infections. An infectious disease specialist’s practice also consists of managing nosocomial (hospital-acquired) infections.

As a testament to his dedication to his field, Dr. Zawada has been the recipient of the On-Time Doctor Award in 2015.

On a more personal note, he is married and has two daughters. He is a great physician, dedicated dad, and a loving husband.
