He has a Master of Public Health degree with specialization in Environmental Health Science/Toxicology and a Doctor of Theology with focus on Philosophy & Theology.
He trained in General Surgery at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York, becoming Chief Resident in Surgery and a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Surgery. He completed a Mini Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Colon & Rectal Surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornel Medical College, New York.
